The Day-Date II ran for only seven years, which makes it the most distinctive President in the family. At 41mm in solid yellow gold it has real weight and presence, and the champagne dial keeps the whole thing warm rather than blinding. Day spelled out at twelve, date under the Cyclops, and the President bracelet that has been on wrists in the Oval Office since 1956. Caliber 3156 with a 48-hour reserve, sapphire crystal, fluted gold bezel. Preowned, watch only. Among discontinued Rolex watches, this is the one that got the size right for modern wrists.
